BUCKS COUNTY, PA — In an effort to draw greater attention to the global climate crisis, youth from around the world and across the United States will stage a series of strikes starting Friday, Sept. 20. A local event is planned Sunday, Sept. 22 at the county seat of Doylestown.

The protests aim to demand an end to fossil fuels and reductions in corporate pollution and environmental destruction. The event is expected to be one of the largest environmental protests ever.

Millions of people are expected to walk out of their schools, workplaces, and homes in solidarity, and organizers in Doyelstown have scheduled the strike to take place on Sunday, Sept 22 from 12-1:30 p.m. The protest will convene in the front parking lot of Central Bucks High School West, 375 W Court St, Doylestown.
