“We have a lot more food options, new comfortable seating, and a great new vibe,” said market manager Ryan Fuller.
Following renovation work, the interior now boasts a fresh coat of paint, creating a more welcoming and modern aesthetic while still honoring its historic roots.
"We went from a dark gray ceiling to a white ceiling to bring out more brightness in the market and we've added a new color palette with orange and turquoise, really updating the market to make it more lively."
And lively it was on Sunday as a constant flow of visitors made their way through the newly revitalized market.
They've also replaced furniture throughout the market "again just to elevate the feel of the whole market," said Fuller. "On top of that, we're going through a whole new rebranding with new logos and a new color palette."
The biggest change is the addition of a new "beer-garden type of space" in what used to be a front courtyard.
"There won't be an operating bar in there. We don't want to mislead people," said Fuller, but patrons are more than welcome to purchase beer and wine at Unionville Vineyards and take it over to the garden or just use that area to people watch or to enjoy their lunch or dinner.
"We took out Stucco that was there and replaced the floor with bluestone and put brick everywhere and installed nice planter boxes with viney plants that will hopefully grow up the walls and across the roof over time - just giving it that beer garden feel."
