Patch: Tell us a bit about your business or organization:
Sawyer Smith: Corcoran Sawyer Smith is a full service residential real estate brokerage serving Northern and Central New Jersey as well as Bucks County, Pennsylvania with over 250 esteemed agents.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Sawyer Smith: In 2012, I opened Sawyer Smith Residential Brokerage, and by 2017, we were the top independently owned brokerage in Jersey City. In 2022, we acquired Hudson Place Realty, Hoboken's premier boutique agency and joined the Corcoran network becoming Corcoran Sawyer Smith. In Dec 2023, we acquired Weidel Real Estate, a widely respected brokerage since 1915 and expanded our services to Central NJ and Bucks County, PA.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Sawyer Smith: I love architecture, design, and housing, mix that with helping people improve their lives and real estate is a perfect fit. I moved to NYC in the mid 1990s and spent months looking for an apartment in the most challenging markets, let’s say it was a crash course but I loved it.

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Sawyer Smith: Assemble a great team with your best interest at heart, trust them and don't expect everything on your wishlist.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Sawyer Smith: Helping agents achieve their dreams and having so many lifetime customers.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Sawyer Smith: We are genuinely a community and agent focused company.
