NEW HOPE, PA — A New Hope luxury hotel and the local historical society are partnering to pay tribute to a local icon and her cabaret in a new exhibit, "Odette Myrtil: Honoring A New Hope Legend."

The grassroots, museum-style exhibit opens Saturday at the Parry Mansion Museum, hosted by the New Hope Historical Society.

The goal is "to transport guests back to the boisterous evenings at Chez Odette, the town’s legendary cabaret and inspiration behind River House," according to a news release.

“Since its inception, River House at Odette’s has set out to pay homage the spirit of Odette Myrtil and her historic cabaret,” said Ron Gorodesky, President and CEO of Refined Hospitality. “This first-of-its-kind exhibition celebrates the impact New Hope’s beloved icon has made on us all and commemorates our cherished memories from those illustrious evenings.”

The exhibit will run through May 15, exhibiting a mix of historic pieces and staged décor to take visitors back in time to when French-American actress Odette Myrtil would saunter through lively crowds with a cocktail in hand.

Locals and travelers interested in viewing the exhibition are encouraged to visit the Parry Mansion at 45 S. Main St between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays. Admission is free for all visitors.
