Phillips' Mill Seeks Mill Depictions For Prestigious Signature Image Feature
The winning artist will receive a $400 honorarium, and their artwork of Phillips' Mill will be featured for sale at the 93rd juried show.

NEW HOPE, PA — Phillips' Mill has issued a "greatly anticipated" call for a signature image of the historic grist mill for their 93rd annual juried art show.
Submissions for artistic representation are open until March 29. The image chosen will be used on posters, advertisements, invitations, postcards, social media, banners, and online: on all of the show's marketing, publicity, and advertising materials.
The winning artist will receive a $400 honorarium, and their artwork will also be featured for sale at the show. This is an opportunity for high visibility of the artist's work, style, and name within New Hope's regional community of collectors and art appreciators.

The show will be held at the Mill and online from Sep. 24 to Oct. 30. The artwork, as well as its creator, will be promoted in social media and press releases, and will be featured on Phillips' Mill's popular ArtTalk series.
The work will be featured for sale at the art show (and, having become so familiar, often sells at the show). The artist is welcome to submit additional work to the juried show itself, per the news release.

Previous years' images have included whimsical and traditional depictions of the Mill and its surroundings. Collages, watercolors, oils, and acrylics have all been chosen, so artists should feel free to use their favorite medium (other than photography) to create their vision of the Mill.
Artists of all backgrounds are encouraged to submit their work and to consider expressing their heritage and traditions in their depiction of the Mill, the news release said.
All artists must reside within a 25-mile radius of the Phillips' Mill Community Association at 2619 River Road. Those interested in submitting work can email a high-resolution jpeg of their framed work to artshow@phillipsmill.org with the title, size, and medium of the piece, as well as their name, address, phone number and email address.
After a preliminary review of online submissions, finalists will be chosen and notified by email to deliver their work for in-person review at Phillips’ Mill on Monday, April 11 at 9:30 a.m. The winning image will be revealed and announced on the Phillips' Mill website, social media pages, newsletter, and other communications.
More information can be found at the Phillips' Mill website.
