SOLEBURY, PA — A faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak that killed supermodel and actress Dayle Haddon Friday morning, Solebury Township Police revealed on Saturday.
The 76-year-old Haddon was staying in a detached office/in-law suite at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Ryan Haddon and actor Marc Blucas, in the 6900 block of Phillips Mill Road when tragedy struck Friday morning.
Marc's father, Walter J. Blucas, 76, of Erie, was found passed out on the first floor of the home. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he was listed in critical condition on Saturday, according to Solebury Police.

Haddon was also an ambassador for UNICEF, and the founder of WomenOne, a nonprofit organization focused on creating educational opportunities for girls and women.
She had also authored several books including "Ageless Beauty" and "The 5 Principles of Ageless Living."
On Saturday, her daughter, Ryan, posted a touching tribute to her mom on Instagram, writing, "The bright light that is Dayle has dimmed in this Earthly realm. Shining somewhere as radiantly as ever where it’s most needed, I have no doubt.
“She was a woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful.
“In conversation, she could go to the deepest of places and also soar the highest heights of spiritual understanding.
“She held so many up, saw their greatness sometimes hidden to them, and always built bridges with her own connections to help them ascend. She was everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration to many.”
