Restaurant Reviewer Raves About Lambertville's Buenos Dias Cafe

"When she was growing up, she always said she wanted to own a restaurant," the owner's son told NJ.com.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — A reviewer for the Times of Trenton and NJ.com gushed about the food at Lambertville's Buenos Dias Cafe and Restaurant this week.

"The restaurant opened for business two weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic closed all of New Jersey’s eateries," Susan Sprague Yeske wrote.

She said running the cafe has fulfilled a lifelong dream of owner Dora Mejai-Martinez, whose husband Rodrigo Mejai gave her the restaurant he'd purchased and renovated as a birthday present.

Yeske tried an order of tacos, shrimp a la mojo de ajo, and tres carnes.

"It’s no surprise that they draw customers from far distances for an authentic Mexican dining experience served with a smile," she wrote.
