'United For Ukraine,' Lambertville, New Hope Residents Rally On Delaware River Bridge

A local non-profit hosted the solidarity walk, bringing organizations from around the area together to cross the bridge in blue and yellow.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — The local non-profit Indivisible Lambertville NJ/New Hope PA co-hosted a walk Wednesday night in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, following Russian invasion and the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

"Wearing raincoats and yellow scarfs and holding signs, more than 30 people walked back and forth across the New Hope Lambertville Bridge, which spans the Delaware River, as part of a 'United for Ukraine' walk," NJ.com reported.

The local Indivisible non-profit purports to uphold 12 key values: democracy, equity, inclusivity, ethics, innovation, respect, social justice, economic opportunity, educational, stewardship of the earth, integrity, and truth.

“We want to really stand up for their democracy because we believe in our democracy,” Cindi Sternfeld, a 60-year-old Lambertville resident and Indivisible member, told NJ.com. “We are also concerned about all the different levels of what’s happening there."

According to TAPinto, those participating included: Kehilat Hanahar/Little Shul by the River, Lambertville Lotsa Helping Hands, River Valley Realty, Indivisible Bucks, Lambertville Human Rights Council, St. Philips Episcopal Church, and Centenary United Methodist Church.
