5-Miler Thanksgiving Day Run To Step Off In Middletown
Race organizers said they are hoping to match last year's donations while drawing around 1,200 runners to the event.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Thanksgiving 5-Miler will step off on Thanksgiving with a 5-Miler, a 5K Race, and a 1 Mile Fun Run starting at the Summit Square Shopping Center at 9 a.m.
Organized by the Bucks County Roadrunners, the course will take participants through the neighboring streets of Middletown Township.
Proceeds will benefit local charities including Advocates for the Homeless and Those In Need, Bucks County Kiwanis Give A Christmas, and the BCRR Great Strides Scholarship Fund.

"This race has always been our way of giving back to the community," said the Bucks County Roadrunners, who have organized the race for the past 35 years. "Over the years, we've donated more than $300K to local charities. Last year alone, we contributed over $20K to organizations. Unlike professionally managed races, 100 percent of our proceeds go to charity, thanks to a volunteer-run model."
