It's the Cheers of Newtown. Great food. The owner Misha greets you with a smile and knows almost everyone by name
What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?
The food is always good. The restaurant has been favorite spot for 23 years.
If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?
I first met Misha at the Newtown Farmers Market almost 28 years ago. Then she opened State Street Kitchen and she still has that great same smile and great food. Truly a Newtown gem.
What’s something you love most about your town or community?
My parents always encouraged me to support your local businesses. I now know why. They become your friends and you are thankful for whatever services they provide. I have met many people who have turned out to good friends.
