WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — Friday is “Love Your Lunch Day” and the historic Pineville Tavern is celebrating by offering two of its menu items for $5.

“We’re going to offer our most popular lunch special, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and our barbecue pulled pork sandwich, for $5 to anyone who comes in for lunch,” announced tavern owner Andrew Abruzzese.

In addition to its $5 meal deal on Friday, it has introduced a new fall menu with seven lunch specials at a set price of $12.50.

The menu includes such comfort classics as a tuna melt, grilled cheese and tomato soup, hand carved turkey sandwich, barbecue pulled pork sandwich, chicken Caesar wrap, the Pineville BLT, and an open faced roast beef sandwich.

“We came up with those seven items using things we already have in house. We just got a little creative in the way we prepare and serve them,” Abruzzese said. “Our regular business and o party business will pay the bills. The theory of this is that it will bring more people into the Pineville. Our goal is to fill our empty seats, keep the vibe, keep the buzz and offer our customers the best possible food and service possible.”

Abruzzese said the new lunch menu is about offering patrons an affordable lunch option.

“Financially, I know that times are tight for a lot of people, especially those on fixed incomes. I know everybody is faced with their credit card bills from summer vacation and back to school. I just want to make it affordable for people to go out for lunch again - a nice sit down lunch in a beautiful atmosphere - and at a price that’s affordable," said Abruzzese.

He continued, “People’s expenses have gone up. A lot of wages have not gone up. They are using credit cards to maintain a lifestyle that their family is used to," said Abruzzese. "I want to do everything in my power to make it affordable for them to treat themselves, to come out to lunch and make it a weekly thing and enjoy a day off at the Pineville Tavern.”

The Pineville Tavern, located on the border between Wrightstown and Buckingham townships, is open Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Built in the 18th century, the tavern has seen many transformations — from feed mill to general store to hotel and, finally, to the tavern.

The Abruzzese family purchased the Pineville in 1989 and have subsequently flourished the brand with strategic additions to the property, an elevated menu, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
