Council Rock Education Foundation Seeks New Executive Director

The Council Rock Education Foundation is continuing to search for its next executive director.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock Education Foundation is continuing its search for its next executive director.

The group's executive director announced in May that she would be stepping back from her position with the foundation. Hired in December 2015, Acosta has been credited with developing new ventures and partnerships in support of K-12 education and projects throughout the Council Rock School District.

“Gail will be greatly missed in this role,” said Jill Shurtleff, Co-President of the CREF board of directors. "We are honored and grateful that she will remain in a supporting role as a board member. She’s done an exemplary job as the director of the Foundation. She has created many strong relationships within our community, bringing valuable resources to projects that positively impact the students and educators throughout our community."

The CREF's stated mission is to "invest in creative programs and inspiring ideas for the students in Council Rock, challenging them to achieve and providing teachers additional tools and resources beyond the limits of our school budgets."
