Council Rock North Grads Have Sweet Proposal At Newtown Theatre
Two Council Rock North High School graduates were engaged during a special proposal at the Newtown Theatre over the holidays.
NEWTOWN, PA — Two Council Rock North High School graduates were engaged during a special proposal at the Newtown Theatre over the holidays.
The groom-to-be, identified by the theatre as Bryan, proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Colleen, in front of the historic Newtown spot on Dec. 21.
“We’re both gigantic movie buffs and we both love the Newtown Theatre. I knew it would make the perfect setting," he told the theatre.

When he found out the theatre would be screening "It's a Wonderful Life" — one of the couple's favorite movies — on a Saturday night, "I knew the stars had aligned,” he said.
Outside the theatre, with the glowing red neon sign in the background, Bryan popped the question, shocking his soon-to-be bride.

"She was so happy it happened there. The theatre is a special place for both of us.”
