DUI, Domestic Assault Arrests Reported In Newtown Township
Police are also investigating the theft of a package by a porch pirate from a home on Diamond Drive.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Jan. 2 and 8:
January 2
- At 10:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence on Diamond Drive for the report of a theft of a package. The resident received notification that the package was delivered, but when they went to retrieve it, it was missing.
January 6

- At 1:09 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop the driver of a Honda Civic for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Stoopville Road and Eagle Road. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The driver was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
January 8
- At 10:45 a.m., a resident came to police headquarters to report being the victim of a domestic assault. An arrest warrant was issued, and the suspect was taken into custody, arraigned, and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
