Grammy-Nominated Band To Perform This Week In Newtown
Grammy Award-nominated Sweet Honey in the Rock will perform in Newtown this week at Bucks County Community College.

NEWTOWN, PA — Grammy Award-nominated Sweet Honey in the Rock will perform in Newtown this week as part of Bucks County Community College's Bucks Live! cultural events series.
The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 27 at the Kevin and Sima Zlock Performing Arts Center on Bucks County Community College's Newtown Campus.

Celebrating its 45th anniversary, Sweet Honey in the Rock is a performance ensemble rooted in African American history and culture. The ensemble educates, entertains and empowers its audience through the dynamic vehicles of a cappella singing and American Sign Language interpretation for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The event is being held in recognition of Black History Month.
Reserved seating tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. In addition, a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $35, including a preconcert reception beginning at 6 p.m. with light hors d’oeuvres and two glasses of wine or beer. VIP ticketholders must be age 21 or older. Tickets can be purchased at www.bucks.edu/tickets or at the door. For group sales, call 215-968-8469.
