Hearing For 41-Unit Toll Brothers Development Is Jan. 22
A Conditional Use Hearing for a Toll Brothers residential development at Durham and Twining Bridge roads will be held on Jan. 22.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Conditional Use Hearing for a Toll Brothers residential development at Durham and Twining Bridge roads has been continued to the Board of Supervisors meeting on Jan. 22. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
At a meeting in December, the supervisors opened and continued the hearing for the residential development, which is proposed on a 152-acre parcel.
There was consideration by the board during the Dec. 11 meeting , and the hearing was immediately continued to the later date.

The conditional use application seeks permission to construct a 41-unit residential development. Conditional use approval is required because Toll is proposing to use a cluster option when configuring the development. The application includes an onsite wastewater treatment facility.
Last year, an informal proposal from Toll Brothers to construct more than 170 residential units on the same property was overwhelmingly opposed by township residents in attendance at a public meeting

That plan would have required a zoning amendment. The current plan does not require a zoning amendment from the Zoning Hearing Board.
