Here's How Council Rock Students Did On The SATs In 2019

See how Council Rock's SAT score stack up to other schools in the Philadelphia region.

NEWTOWN, PA — Council Rock North is among just four Bucks County high schools where students earned an average SAT score of 1200 or higher in 2019

The Pennsylvania Department of Education this week released the 2019 SAT scores for all public high schools in the state.

The highest-scoring Bucks County High School was Central Bucks West, where the average score was 1213.4 in 2019. Students there earned an 611 average in math and a 602.4 average in reading and writing.

At Council Rock North, the average score was 1203.7. North students earned an average math score of 604.9 and an average reading and writing score of 598.8.

Other Bucks County high schools that had averages of 1200 or more include Central Bucks East an New Hope-Solebury. Council Rock South's average score was 1165.3 — 585.1 in math and 580.3 in reading and writing.

SATs have a total score between 400 and 1600.

The highest-scoring school in the state was Julia R. Masterman in Philadelphia, where the average score was 1402.9. Other high scoring Philadelphia area schools include Conestoga High School, where students averaged a 1267 score, and Lower Merion High School, where the average score was 1246.

According to the Princeton Review, the average score in 2018 was 1068.
