Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Jeremy Etzkorn, Jesse Newton: The most common advice we give to customers is to prioritize consistency over perfection and to focus on keeping sport fun. Whether you're a young athlete just starting out or an experienced player looking to stay sharp, consistent effort over time is necessary to achieve an athlete’s full potential. We also encourage families to consider athletic development a long-term journey, and maintaining the joy of playing is a critical part of that journey. Our facility is here to support that with reliable, year-round access to high-quality turf and training space. Whether it’s scheduling practices, booking clinics, or just getting in extra touches, the key is building good habits and staying active. We’re here to make that easier by offering a dependable environment where athletes of all ages and levels can grow, train, and have fun.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Jeremy Etzkorn, Jesse Newton: By far the most satisfying part of our job is watching people come together to play, compete, and have fun. From kids improving during technical training or playing in our summer camps, tournaments, leagues, and pick-up games to adults playing pickup or in our indoor leagues, we love seeing our facility full of energy and joy. It’s been a joy getting to know local field hockey, baseball, lacrosse, and soccer players and coaches, and we especially love seeing repeat faces at birthday parties and other events. One of the highlights is seeing the smiles and excitement during our summer camps and party rentals—it reminds us why we started River Sports Center in the first place. Creating a space that supports growth, fun, and community connection has been incredibly rewarding. We can’t wait to keep building on that and offering more opportunities for athletes of all ages to thrive.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Jeremy Etzkorn, Jesse Newton: What sets River Sports Center apart is our focus on quality, flexibility, and fun. Our premium, non-infill turf ensures a safer, cleaner playing surface; this was something we felt strongly about as parents. Our 5v5 field format offers fast-paced play with more decisions and touches - encouraging skill development, movement, and tactical awareness. We can also open up the space for larger games with full-sized goals. Another unique feature is our racquetball courts and the turfed “First Touch Factory,” ideal for small group or individual training. We offer fun, customizable birthday parties with games like soccer, flag football, kickball, gaga, and more. We've hosted everything from kids' parties to adult events and school programs. Our facility is designed to adapt to the needs of our community—and with the successful first season of our new multi-sport summer camp, we’re excited to keep growing and serving families across Bucks County.
