Man Arrested For 7 Newtown Burglaries
A Philadelphia man has been charged in connection with seven overnight burglaries in Newtown, as well as one in Upper Makefield.

NEWTOWN, PA — A Philadelphia man has been charged with targeting 21 small businesses in a string of overnight burglaries across Bucks County, including seven in Newtown Borough and Newtown Township. He's also charged in connection with one burglary in Upper Makefield Township.
David Anthony Andrauskas, 37, is accused of breaking into or attempting to break into businesses in Newtown Borough, New Hope Borough, Middletown Township, Newtown Township, Upper Makefield Township, Bensalem Township and Bristol Borough between Jan. 12 and Feb. 8.
In Newtown Borough, Andrauskas is accused of burglarizing the Shoe Café on Jan. 12, Clark’s Florist on Jan. 18, and Studio 35 Salon on Jan. 23.

In Newtown Township, he's charged in connection with four burglaries at Sycamore Street businesses on Feb. 1. Green Straw, Newtown Pizza, Be Bronzed, and Bella Med Spa were all targeted.
Andrauskas is also accused of burglarizing Dominick’s Pizza in Upper Makefield on Feb. 4.

His arrest followed a high-speed chase with officers from the Bensalem Police Department.
According to information from the Bucks County District Attorney's office, Andrauskas broke open cash registers and left with case. He stole as much as $2,000 from a single business. Most of the burglaries yielded a significantly smaller take, the District Attorney said.
Andrauskas typically entered businesses between 1:30 a.m. and 3: 30 a.m. through a window by first removing an air conditioning unit or by otherwise breaking the window.
