Man Arrested After Threatening To Kill His Family: Newtown Borough Police Report
Newtown Borough Police also cited a man with public drunkenness after he caused an early morning disturbance on North State Street.
NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Newtown Borough Police reported several noteworthy incidents in November, including the arrest of a man who was threatening to kill his family.
During his monthly report to the council on Wednesday, Chief James Sabath reported 186 calls for service and four traffic accident investigations, none of which involved serious injuries.
The Newtown Borough Police Department also concluded an aggressive driving campaign in November, issuing 55 citations for speeding, running red lights, and running stop signs.

Several noteworthy incidents included the arrest of a 52-year-old man wanted by Lower Makefield for threatening to kill his family. The man was located on North State Street, taken into custody, and transferred to Lower Makefield for processing, the chief reported.
Police also charged a 26-year-old Yardley man with public drunkenness after causing a disturbance at 2 a.m. on North State Street. “He was screaming and hollering and bringing a lot of attention to himself,” reported Sabath.
