Newtown Firefighters Recognized For Years Of Service
Members of the Newtown Fire Association were recognized for their years of service and response to calls in 2020.

NEWTOWN, PA — Twelve firefighters were recognized for their service during the June meeting of the Newtown Fire Association.
The following awards were given out to firefighters:
50 Years of Service: George Forsyth Jr. and Ray Pugh

Firefighter of the Year: Warren Dallas

Chief's Award: Members of the Beerfest Committee

Past Chief Matthew Gerhard was presented with an award to commemorate his six years of service as chief of the department. Robert Adams Sr. was presented with the title of Chief Engineer Emeritus for his 30 years of service as chief engineer for the department.
Shields for the 50 years of service plaques were provided by Taylor's Tins, coins given to top responders were provided by Campaign Fire Coins and the plaque presented to Chief Gerhard was provided by Coin Squadron.
