Newtown Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges: DA
Detectives said they were led to the 79-year-old after a tip that a Dropbox user had uploaded child sex abuse images to the Dropbox server.

NEWTOWN, PA — A Newtown man, 79, is facing child pornography charges following a tip and subsequent investigation, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said.
Nicholas Stefanowski was charged with possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, the DA's office said in a news release Friday.
He was arraigned Monday by Magisterial District Judge Michael W. Petrucci, who set bail at $100,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 6.

Local detectives received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on Jan. 6 alleging a Dropbox user uploaded five child pornographic images to the Dropbox server, acc0rding to a criminal complaint.
Bucks County Detective David Coyne reviewed the files and saw numerous images of child sexual abuse material, according to the release.

Coyne served a search warrant at Stefanowski's home in the 100 block of Willow Drive in Newtown after the Dropbox user's IP address led back to him, the DA's office said.
Numerous electronic devices were seized from the home and the Regional Computer Forensic laboratory found suspected child pornography in their analysis, according to the news release.
Assistant District Attorney Sarah Kuethe is prosecuting the case.
