Newtown Twp Extends Essential Services Only Through April 30

Newtown Township has extended closures and program cancelations through April 30.

NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown Township has extended closures and program cancelations through April 30 in light of the governor's statewide stay-at-home order.

Through that date, only essential services will be offered by the township.

The following closures and cancelations are in place:

  • The Township Administrative Offices will be closed to the public until April 6. To reach the office for assistance, call 215-968-2800.
  • All code enforcement and building inspections will be suspended that date.
  • All non-essential employees will continue to work from alternate locations.
  • The Township Police and Emergency Service Departments will be operating routinely. All non-emergency police reports should be made by calling 215-328-8524.
  • All non-essential board and committee meetings have been cancelled.
  • All park facilities, including restrooms, snack stands, basketball courts, and skate parks will be closed until further notice. All playgrounds and ballfields should be avoided.
  • All Park and Recreation Programs have been suspended until April 6.
