Preliminary Hearing Against Chalfont Cop Set for Sept. 6
Jon Cousin, 30, of Chalfont, remains incarcerated at Bucks County Prison. He faces numerous misdemeanor charges in connection with faking a shooting in the borough on Monday
Jon M. Cousin, 30, of Chalfont, the officer , will head to a preliminary hearing in Bucks County on September 6.
According to Bucks County Department of Corrections, Cousin remains in jail as of Wednesday in lieu of 10 percent of $150,000 bail.
Cousin is charged with the following misdemeanors:

County Decteives arrested Cousin at the courthouse in Doylestown Tuesday evening after “inviting” him to the in a “ruse,” District Attorney David Heckler said. The DA implied the arrest was done in that manner to ensure the safety of the officer’s family - a wife and four young children - and others.
Cousin will face a preliminary hearing before District Judge William Benz in Richboro, PA at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6, according to court records.
