DOYLESTOWN, PA — Bucks County’s first baby of the year arrived exactly at midnight at Penn Medicine Doylestown Hospital.

The hospital announced that Henry Schamp was born at midnight on Jan. 1, 2026. He weighed eight pounds, nine ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

His parents are Sarah and Ryan Schamp of Ambler.

The second baby of the New Year arrived at short time later at 1:17 a.m. at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township.

Baby girl Nalina was the first baby born at the hospital in 2026, marking a joyful sart to the New Year for the family and entire community.

At birth, Nalina weighed six pounds, 10.5 ounces and measured 20 inches in length. Her proud parents, Giana Nugent and Mark Johnson of Philadelphia, are thrilled to welcome their new addition as St. Mary’s first newborn of the year.
