The fall celebration, a fundraiser for the Newtown Historic Association, offers a glimpse into colonial America with street performers, artisans, craftspeople, puppet shows, a Revolutionary War encampment behind the Court Inn, and hands-on candle-making in the Boone Garden.

More than 80 vendors will be lining the streets in and around the Half-Moon Inn (Court Inn).

The Countryside Gardeners of Newtown will again be offering fresh floral arrangements and garden clippings at Market Day.
Smith said the association will be bringing more Colonial craft demonstrations to the streets this year, including basketry, chair caning, quilt making, wool spinning, candle making, and more.
In addition, the Bucks County Register of Wills will be on hand showing off historic wills and documents, while the Daughters of the American Revolution will be offering a whirly-gig demonstration for the kids.
Also taking place throughout the day will be puppet shows at the Boone Garden, demonstrations by the Newtown Quilters, scarecrow making at Patriots Park, and a Revolutionary War encampment behind the Court Inn.
"We have added more food trucks this year going down Court Street," said Smith, serving pizza, barbecue, soft pretzels, hot dogs, coffee, and desserts. "We also have Kettle Korn, which everyone missed last year," said Smith.
Hutch Hamilton of A Better Way Farm will again be hitching up his team of Belgian horses and making the trip from Wrightstown to offer wagon rides through the neighboring streets of the borough. The Court Inn, the headquarters of the Newtown Historic Association, will also be open for public tours.
“It’s going to be a great time for everyone,” said Smith. “The whole family can come and enjoy. There will be something for everyone.”
