State Street Fire Raged For Hours, Displacing Several In Newtown
The Pro Shop has temporarily suspended business and two apartments are currently uninhabitable following the 12:30 a.m. blaze.

NEWTOWN, PA — Two apartments have been rendered uninhabitable and a Newtown business has temporarily closed its doors after a powerful fire broke out on State Street early Thursday morning, officials said.
No one was injured, firefighter Tim Chamberlain of the Newtown Township Emergency Services Department told Patch on Thursday.
He confirmed there was "extensive" damage, and that residents of two apartments were displaced, following the overnight fire that started in a third-floor apartment.

"Kathy also provided sandwiches to all the first responders working during the night," a representative for the Temperance House told Patch.
