Power Out For 1,500 In Newtown
More than 1,500 residents in Newtown Borough and Newtown Township are without power Wednesday night as a storm moved through.

NEWTOWN, PA — More than 1,500 PECO customers in Newtown are without power Wednesday night as a fierce storm with heavy rain and wind moved through the region.
In Newtown Borough, nearly 400 are without power as of 9:15 p.m. In Newtown Township, more than 1,100 have lost power, according to information from PECO.
The outages are impacting more than 2,500 Bucks County residents. The Newtown area has been hit the hardest.

Wind gusts from the storm are expected to top out at 45 to 50 mph, the National Weather Service said. The storm is clearing out; rain will cease overnight but gusty conditions will linger through Thursday, forecasters said.
