Suspected Narcotics Seized During Traffic Stops In Newtown Twp.

During another traffic stop, police took two men into custody on active arrest warrants from Monroe Township.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents between April 26 and April 29:

April 26

  • At approximately 11 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Honda Pilot for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Jefferson Street. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.

  • At approximately 5:30 p.m., police conducted a felony traffic stop on the driver of a Toyota Camry in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Campus Drive. As a result of the investigation, the vehicle was impounded and two men were taken into custody on active arrest warrants from the Monroe Township Police Department.

April 29

  • At approximately 2:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Nissan sedan for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Ardsley Court and Cherry Lane. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
