"We believe our market plays a very important role in our community of continuing to offer fresh local and healthy foods to our customers during this very uncertain time. Local farmers and producers are more critical than ever in helping maintain our local food system and local economy. Therefore, for as long as farmers markets are considered essential we will continue to remain open and provide access to fresh local food with a focus on safety," the market's announcement said.

One person per household can come shop the market. "Our focus is on flow and keeping people moving quickly, so we ask that you leave the market as soon as you are finished making your purchases," organizers said.

Customers may not touch any produce or products until purchased and there will be no sampling.

Shoppers should bring their own hand sanitizer or wipes. "Please wipe your card first with a sanitizing wipe, swipe your card yourself if possible, and wipe it again after the swipe. Use a wipe on your finger if need to sign anything."

Cash exchange is strongly discouraged, market organizers said.
