WRIGHTSTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Wrightstown Township Board of Supervisors on Monday voted to lift the township’s burn ban.

The supervisors took action after consulting with township fire officials, who first recommended a ban last fall due to worsening drought conditions.

In lifting the ban, the township urged property owners to burn safely, not to burn on windy days, and to make sure there’s a nearby water source to extinguish any flames that could get out of control.

In addition, the township is reminding property owners that the dumping of any yard waste and tree

debris on another property (open space or privately owned) is prohibited and could result in a citation.
