Another Successful Beast of a Feast

Elmwood Park Zoo hosts its Beast of a Feast Saturday night.

The Elmwood Park Zoo welcome special ticketed guests at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday night to its annual Beast of a Feast event. The night, with a finely dressed zoo (not to mention its guests), is designed to raise funds for the annual operations of the zoo's animals, including their food and care.

To raise funds, tickets were sold for $88 per person, in honor of the zoo's 88th year in operation. Guests age 21 and over were permitted to graze along the paths of the animals' habitats right along with the creatures. Rubbing elbows with the Borough's finest philanthropists, some of the zoo's best animals while they wined and dined on Norristown's best restaurant foods.

Guests got to see, first-hand, zoo residents, including an owl, blue-tounged skink, a black vulture and an American alligator, all of which greeted them upon arrival.
