Juveniles Arrested After Reports of Armed Person
Police responded to a report of an armed person near the intersection of Elm Street and Haws Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Multiple units from the Norristown Police Department responded to the intersection of Elm Street and Haws Avenue on Wednesday night, following a report of an armed person.
Reports began to come in to the Norristown Patch around 8:30 p.m., with residents and sources stating that as few as four and as many as eight police cruisers had moved into the area.
According to the Norristown Police Department, multiple juveniles were arrested at the scene, but due to them being minors, additional details will not be released at this time. No one was harmed during the incident.

In a comment on the Norristown Patch Facebook page, one user who was on the scene stated that the juveniles were playing with BB guns and shot someone's vehicle, but we were unable to confirm this with police due to the arrestees being under age.
Residents in the area later informed Patch that the police activity had subsided around 10 p.m.
