Haunted Selma Mansion, Farmer’s Market This Week

A look at a few of the events this week in the Norristown area.

Wednesday: the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library in Norristown will host a workshop about financing one’s first home, featuring mortgage and banking professionals at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday: the Norristown’s Farmer’s Market will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., bringing fresh, local produce to the base of the county courthouse. CADCOM’s nutrition tent stationed next to the market helps seniors sign up for a supplemental box of nutritious food. 

Thursday: Women’s Resource Center will host a workshop in legal issues of how to obtain a divorce, and support, at the Radnor Memorial Library in Wayne, at 6:30 p.m.

Friday: guests are invited to tour the 19th century Selma Mansion, Norristown’s premiere haunted house, for Halloween. Proceeds will benefit Norristown Preservation Society and will help to restore Selma. Refreshments will be available.

Saturday: the Upper Merion Farmers Market in King of Prussia will host trick-or-treating and a community yard sale featuring GlaxoSmithKline’ Science Lady and a chance for kids to decorate a pumpkin. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
