Man Shot in Leg While Walking, Say Police

Police went to speak with a man who said that he had been shot Tuesday night, say police.

A man was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown after someone allegedly shot him in the leg Tuesday night in the borough, say police.

Norristown police said that they were sent to the hospital around 8:45 p.m. on Oct 29 to speak with a man who had a non-life-threatening injury in his leg, say police.

The victim said that he had been waking west on West Marshall Strees and by Corson Street when he heard gunfire; He said that his right leg began to hurt and he went to a fast food restaurant at Corson Street and West Marshall Street to call the mother of his girlfriend to ask for a ride to a hospital, according to police.
