Man Went to Meet Girl He Saw on Instagram, Was Attacked, Say Police
A man told police that he was attacked by three men while waiting to meet a girl whose photo he saw online, according to a police report.

A man told police that he was attacked by three men while waiting at a Norristown intersection to meet a girl he had seen in an Instagram photo, according to a police report.
The alleged victim came to the Norristown police station on Wednesday around 11:15 p.m. and said that he had been robbed at the intersection of Green Street and Spruce Street, say police. He said that he had met up with a man he knew while being incarcerated at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, according to a Norristown police report.
He told police that he knew him as “Shahim Delay,” and that Delay was going to introduce him to a girl the victim had seen on an Instagram photo, say police. He said that when he came to the intersection he saw Delay, who told the victim that the girl would arrive soon, say police.

The victim told police that three men then approached and attacked him, kicking and punching him to the ground., according to the report. The men then rifled through his pockets, taking his cell phone and wallet; the wallet contained seven debit and credit cards, $60 in cash and his Pennsylvania ID card, per the report.
He said that his glasses knocked off during the attack. Before going to the police the victim had not asked the credit card companies to see if his cards had been used, according to the report.
