Man Without License Strikes Police Surveillance Vehicle, Flees Scene, Police Say
Roman Camacho-Santiago, who has a suspended license, allegedly struck a police surveillance vehicle, then fled the scene when asked for his insurance information.

A Norristown man is facing charges after he allegedly backed into a police surveillance vehicle on Friday night.
According to the police report, police were sitting inside of a surveillance vehicle that was parked along the 200 block of West Main Street when a red Ford Mustang attempted to park in front of the vehicle. While parking, the driver – identified as Roman Camacho-Santiago, of Norristown – allegedly backed into the police vehicle, causing scratches and denting.
The report states that Camacho-Santiago then exited his vehicle and began to walk past the vehicle, at which point the officer inside requested his insurance information. Camacho-Santiago allegedy said "hold on," before re-entering his vehicle and fleeing the scene.

He was ultimately stopped by two officers at the intersection of Barbadoes and Lafayette streets, according to the report. A search of PennDOT files revealed that Camacho-Santiago had a suspended license, the report states.
Camacho-Santiago was then taken to the police station, where he was processed and held for arraignment.
