Montco Extends Code Blue as Bitter Cold Persists
It will feel like -5 with the wind chill Friday, the National Weather Service said.

Montgomery County officials have made the decision to extend the county’s Code Blue Declaration, based on forecasts from the National Weather Service.
A Code Blue Cold Weather Declaration is made in Montgomery County when the combination of air temperature and wind chill is anticipated to be 20 degrees or less. With the wind chill, it will feel like -5 on Friday, the NWS said.
The Code Blue will now go through noon on Wednesday, Feb. 25, county officials said.

“The goal of the Code Blue plan is to provide temporary shelter, food, and clothing to those in need,” the county said. Anyone in need of shelter should call 610-292-9244.
