Norristown Man Arrested for Exposing Himself in Public

Adam Oliver, 27, allegedly dropped his pants and engaged in a lewd act in front of a code enforcement official and another witness.

According to a report from the norristown Police Department, a Norristown man was arrested last week after he allegedly exposed himself in public and masturbated in front of two witnesses.

Police say 27-year-old Adam Oliver, of the 600 block of Moore Street, approached a Norristown Code Enforcement official and another witness in the 200 block of East Oak Street shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25 while the two were conducting a building inspection on a property there. The witnesses told police that Oliver walked up behind one of the witnesses, dropped his pants, exposed himself and began to masturbate in front of them.

Oliver reportedly left the scene walking east on Moore towards Oak Street as police were being called. Officers arrived on the scene and took a description of Oliver that one officer recognized as being similar to another incident in which an unknown suspect exposed himself in the 600 block of Corson Street.

Officers canvassing the area around East Marshall Street reportedly came into contact with Oliver, who fit the description given by the witnesses, walking north on High Street towards Oak Street and stopped him for questioning. A background check revealed that Oliver had an outstanding fine and costs warrant in connection with the prior disorderly conduct incident and he was taken into custody.

The witnesses were transported to the scene where they reportedly positively identified Oliver as the man who exposed himself to them. He was transported to the station and processed.
