One-vehicle Accident Temporarily Closes Johnson Highway at Chain Street

Roads are now reopening after accident scene was cleared.

A one-vehicle accident involving a silver SUV caused road delays in the area of West Johnson Highway and Harding Boulevard in the borough of today. The intersection, near the Norristown Pennsylvania Department of Transportation office, was closed for a few minutes while crews cleared the scene.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety computer-aided dispatch system, units were called into the area at 3:23 p.m. The scene was being cleared by 3:40 p.m.

The single vehicle was loaded onto a tow truck for removal. The condition of the driver or what, if any, riders was unknown. A full report is expected from the fire chief. responded.
