Aquinas Academy Senior from McCandless Scores Perfect SAT Score
Roman Solomond now ranks in the top 1 percent nationwide.

A senior at Aquinas Academy is the first student in the school's history to achieve a perfect score on the math and reading portion of the SAT test, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review.
Although he spent his junior year practicing, Roman Solomond, 18, of McCandless, told the Trib he was surprised he earned a perfect score on the critical reading portion of the SAT test on his first attempt.
His second time around, Solomond focused his practice on getting the perfect math score, a goal he also achieved.

Solomond now ranks in the top 1 percent nationwide having a perfect score in math and reading, the newspaper reports.
Solomond hopes to attend Princeton University in the fall to study engineering.
