Franklin Park Family Escapes House Fire
The fire broke out in the home's garage early Monday morning.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of an early morning house fire in the 1400 block of North Chevlin Court in Franklin Park.
The fire started around 2:30 a.m Monday in the garage of the home, KDKA-TV reported. The family inside, including several children, escaped unharmed.
The fire was so intense, it melted the siding of at least one home next door, the TV station reported.
The fire marshal told KDKA that before he can go in to investigate, the house has to be boarded up to support the structure because it could come down.
The family is not allowed back inside.
