Franklin Park Sisters Participate in Kean Quest Talent Search
The popular local talent competition, formerly known as Kean Idol, boasts singing sensation Jackie Evancho as a former contestant.

Two sisters from Franklin Park had a good run in the Kean Quest Talent Search.
Brynn, 13, and her younger sister Mara Lesher, 10, both enjoy singing, a talent that landed the two siblings in the talent competition’s preliminary round.
In its 10th year, Kean Quest provides individuals of all ages an opportunity to showcase their vocal talent at the Kean Theatre in Richland Township.

Brynn competed in the same age group as her younger sister. She said she enjoyed the experience, though going before the judges wasn't always easy.
"It’s very exciting, but I was also very nervous," she said.

Brynn is a seventh grader at Ingomar Middle School and Mara a fifth grader at Franklin Elementary School,
In the preliminary round, Mara sang “Twenty Two,” by Taylor Swift. She did not make the semi-finals.
Brynn was among the 31 acts who competed March 10 in the youth preliminary round four at the Kean Theatre. She qualified to compete in Sunday’s semi-final round, where she sang “Adagio” by Lara Fabian. She did not move on to the finals, but the sisters plan to return next year.
"I was pretty proud of my performance. I did something I didn’t think I was going to, and it went very well," she said.
In addition to singing, Brynn's hobbies include reading and drawing. Mara enjoys singing, gymnastics and drawing.
