Good Friday and Easter in North Allegheny: What's Open, What's Closed?

Here's a rundown of closings in the area.

Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its way.

With a major holiday comes closings of area institutions and businesses. Here's a rundown of what's open or closed.

What's Closed

Find out what's happening in North Alleghenyfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

  • North Allegheny Schools, no classes and pool closed through Monday. Classes resume on Tuesday. 
  • Federal, state, and Allegheny county offices and courts: including the Department of Court Records, the Court of Common Pleas, the district attorney’s office, and the sheriff’s office will be closed in observance of Good Friday. Offices and departments reporting to the county executive will be open.
  • State Liquor stores: All closed on Sunday
  • Post Offices: mail delivery will be on a normal schedule
  • Town of McCandless Offices closed Friday
  • Franklin Park borough offices closed Friday
  • Marshall Township offices will close early Friday at noon.

What's Open

  • Northland Public Library is open on Friday and Saturday and closed on Sunday.
  • The Port Authority is running regular bus, T and incline weekday service, but the downtown service center is closed.
  • Pennsylvania driver license office and photo center is operating on normal schedule: open on Friday and Saturday, closed on Sunday.
