It's definitely not too late to take your date out to a nice dinner.

From the intimate Frescos Rustic European Cuisine and Wine Bar at 10545 Perry Highway to the historic Brush Creek Inn at 95 Northgate Drive, Warrendale, plenty of restaurants are still taking reservations. 

While some restaurants such as Blue, are all booked up for Thursday, you can still make a reservation for Friday and Saturday if your date is flexible.

Sweets

Show your baby some love with specialty lollipops or hand-decorated meltaways from Betsy Ann Chocolates , 322 Perry Highway. Karen Paras, part-owner of the business, said cordial strawberries are another hit, as are the Paras truffles. For something truly special, opt for the parfait, a handmade treat made with three layers of whipped mousse that's being sold only through Valentine’s Day.

“They are beyond good,” Paras said.

Hours are extended from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

For a twist on chocolate, give the gift of Popcorn-N-That, 10263 Perry Highway. Premium gourmet popcorn flavors range from "Burgh Black-N-Gold" to a February special "Drizzled White Chocolate Cinnamon Caramel." Hours are extended from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

Flowers

So you forgot to order flowers. No biggie. McCandless Floral, 8105 Perry Highway, McCandless, says today is just as good as any to place your order if you hope for delivery on Valentine's Day.

Ashley Schopper, an employee at Mccandless Floral, said roses are very popular for the holiday, particularly red or white. 

Ice Skating

North Park Ice Skating Rink is hosting a "Sweetheart Couples Skate" from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Buy one admission and get one free. Couples of all ages are invited and each will receive a carnation while supplies last.
