North Allegheny Holds 'Purple Out' to Support Hospitalized Student
A senior has the high school has been at Children's Hospital with an undiagnosed illness for two weeks, WPXI reports.

North Allegheny is showing they care by holding a “Purple Out” for a senior student at the high school who has been hospitalized for the last two weeks.
WPXI reports the district’s students, staff and members of the community decided to wear purple Thursday to support 17-year-old Kayla Conroy, who is at UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh with flu-like symptoms. Doctors have not yet diagnosed Kayla’s illness, according to WPXI.
Kayla’s favorite color is purple, which is why the students and teachers wore the color to school Thursday. WPXI also found several members of the community, including employees at the McDonald’s near the high school, wearing purple.
