North Allegheny defeated Peters Township 2-0 Wednesday in the PIHL Class AAA Championship.

The score remained 0-0 until the third period, when North Allegheny senior Joe Griffin made two goals, according to MSA Sports Network.

The game ended shortly before midnight on Wednesday night at Consol Energy Center.

This is the first time the Tigers have won the Penguins Cup since winning in 2007.
