One Man Hurt In Perry Highway Collision

The driver of a black Mazda sedan was taken to the hospital after colliding with the rear of a truck.

One man was hurt Monday afternoon in a two vehicle collision in the southbound lanes of Perry Highway near the intersection with Old Perry Highway in McCandless.

The driver of a black Mazda sedan was taken to the hospital after colliding with the rear of a truck. The driver of the truck was not hurt.

It took volunteer firefighters from Highland Station 186 several minutes to extricate the driver from the wreckage.

It's believed the man's injuries are not life threatening.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

Perry Highway reopened about 20 minutes after the accident.
