Pittsburgh-Area Man Charged In Vehicle Crash That Killed 2
Two people died in a Pittsburgh-area car crash just before Christmas. A man faces a host of charges in connection with the incident.
McCANDLESS, PA — A Richland Township man faces charges in connection with a fatal December crash that killed two people.
Aiden Saber, 18, faces two counts of homicide by vehicle, two counts of involuntary manslaughter, three counts of aggravated assault by vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol. He is in the Allegheny County Jail.
Shortly after 3 a.m. on Dec. 23, county 911 was notified of a single vehicle crash on Irwin Road near Babcock Boulevard. First responders discovered six people in the vehicle. Taylor Orlowski, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jonathan Tourney, 14, was flown to an area hospital where he died.

The other four occupants of the vehicle, including Saber, required hospital treatment.
Police said that the vehicle Saber was driving was speeding along Irwin Road when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. Police determined that the car was traveling at a minimum speed of 72 mph when the crash occurred; the speed limit on Irwin Road in 25 mph.

According to police, tests confirmed that Saber had a blood alcohol content of 0.47 percent at the time of the crash.
