Pizza Scam? Franklin Park Police Warn of Callers Seeking Personal Info

The callers requested credit card information saying there was a mistake in their pizza order even though an order had not been placed.

The Franklin Park Police Department has a warning for residents after receiving several complaints about unsolicited phone calls from strangers seeking personal information and bank/credit card account information.

The callers requested credit card information saying there was a mistake in their pizza order even though an order had not been placed. 

Franklin Park Police is reminding everyone to never provide personal information to anyone unless you have initiated contact or know with whom you are dealing. Also consider registering both your home and cell phone numbers on the federal and state Do Not Call List.

If you have an elderly parent or friends remember to assist them with registering and remind them not to provide their personal information to unsolicited phone callers.
